Remi ("we", "us", "our") operates meetremi.app, an invoice payment reminder service for freelancers. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide our service:

Account information — your name and email address when you sign up.
Invoice data — invoices you upload, including client names, amounts, due dates, and any other information contained in your invoice files.
Payment information — billing details processed through Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.

How We Use Your Data

Service delivery — to manage your invoices and track payment statuses.
Payment processing — to handle your subscription billing through Stripe.
Email reminders — to send payment reminder emails to your clients on your behalf.
Invoice OCR — to extract data from uploaded invoice files so you don't have to enter it manually.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Remi:

Supabase — database and file storage (EU — Frankfurt region).
Stripe — payment processing. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment data. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Anthropic — AI-powered OCR to extract data from invoice files. Invoice content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing and is not retained by Anthropic for training purposes.
Resend — transactional email delivery for payment reminders and account notifications.
Sentry — error tracking and performance monitoring to maintain service reliability.
Vercel — application hosting and deployment.

Data Storage Location

Your data is stored in the European Union, specifically in the Frankfurt (eu-central-1) region via Supabase. We prioritize keeping your data within the EU wherever possible.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data — including your profile, invoices, and client information — is permanently removed from our systems. There is no recovery after deletion.

Your Rights Under GDPR

As an EU resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data.
Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
Right to restriction — request that we limit how we process your data.
Right to object — object to processing of your personal data.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication sessions. We do not use any tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is needed because we only use strictly necessary cookies.
